We are holding the 1st VDJR community mega mix!!!
We tried something like this before but it was difficult and the project seemed to lose steam along the way.
For this one we will have DJ's record their mix and upload it. When we have all the submissions one DJ will mix them all together to make one overall "master mix". This saves a lot of time and makes things much more simple for everyone.
Rules:
-12 DJ's limit (1st come basis) YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A RADIO DJ TO SIGN UP , just a member of the community and own Virtual DJ.
- 2-3 full song MAX for mixes (please try to include some type of intro/outro)
-BPM's (you can use any BPM however the intro/outro must be between 115-128)
*** you change the tempo to whatever you like during your 10min set but keep in mind if your going to make changes to a slower tempo they should be done in a smart fashion.
All submissions will be uploaded to a storage site... rapidshare, etc. then the link should be sent to me in a PM here or email.
The deadline for submitting mixes will be April 30 2009
Don’t worry about your playlist.. Just try and be "different" and bring your best "A-game" mixes!
So sign up and get mixing...

NB: last time i was first but my intro track was at 134 bpm soo I think WHEN saying at 128 its really limiting it alot! especially for people like me and RJ or anyone in the Trance genre

Well i was trying to find a common ground. i wanted to widen the range but i was trying to pick some common ground between all music styles. The range is only for intro/outro tempos... YOU CAN CHANGE IT TO ANYTHING YOU LIKE at any other point in the mix.
You can try 8 or 16 measures of the suggested range then speed it up or slow it down after. Just make sure you have the intro/outro is a constant BPM.
Its not a written law, if you cant get in range then try and stay close ...by all means get busy and have fun anyway you find fit....just make it HOT!
