Greetings to all.I am,as can be seen, new on this site,so a grand shout out to all.
Main reason that brought me here is a wishfull attempt at resolving a technical issue that I am experiencing with the Virtual dj setup(software or other).Would appreciate any good and well informed advice on the following:
Firstly,a quick hardware listup:
Asus desktop pc,P5klp_am m/b
Soundblaster live 5.1 audio card(6 wave devices)
Realtek HD audio audio card(6 wave devices) onboard ...de-activated on bios.
4 g dimms running in dual channel
Intel E4700 duo processor(oldish,I know, but moreeee than adequate for this purpose)
Os windows xp 64bit pro.

Analog side(the sound system)...(all connects gold-plated)
Mission 737 renaissance two-way on yamaha ax 520 Natural sound amp(stereo)
                                         +
Mission 70 two way reference on yamaha ax 500 Natural sound amp

The problem:No matter what audio config I use(asio, direct sound),the audio sounds very transistory...lacks depth..not up to par. This I state and have concluded that it perhaps be the audio engine of the software that just doesnt cut it.I own other dj software(Traktorer,Deckladance...miss-spelt purposefully;P)...and,these two have a relatively decent audio output.by comparison..ie:the same tracks played /reproduced using the standard Windows media player(or other media players)..or the above-mentioned dj softwares ,when played through VirtualDj...a demise in sound quality is noticable. This problem at first may not seem serious...however,after an hour or two of constant playing...the ears tend to scoff at the sound.Perhaps years of "audiophiling" may be to blame...but ,considering the fantastic piece of software developed by Atomix...something can/must be done to resolve this little niggle.
I think it important to mention that I am running the free version of the software...and will consider purchasing the paid version...but without proof and guarantee that this is were the problem lays....no wasting of my money.
Thanks to all in advance

Did you try changing the latency of your ASIO sound card....  change it to a real high number first to see if it sounds better.
